Location Service & Food At NY Metro Area Hotel is...

In New Jersey lies the Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe. A 4-star hotel conveniently located near New York City and Newark Liberty International Airport. Having been there before, I knew it was the perfect choice for my trifecta trip that included Long Island, Manhattan, and New Jersey.

As is my wont, I got there early and, no big deal, my room wasn't ready. Unless I wanted to pay a $50 early check-in fee before noon (It was before noon) or wait until the afternoon and pay a $25 early check-in fee.

I passed on both. Gave my bag to the clerk and went about my business.

That business included day baseball, Yankees v. Twins, in the Bronx. Followed by an evening concert back in New Jersey, then a morning Uber ride to Penn Station. One of the reasons I frequent the Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe is the location. To wit, none of the locales listed above were more than a 30-minute car ride.

In between the baseball game and the concert, I made the move for my evening meal. The Pancetta Regional Kitchen & Wine Bar. (When you Google, it might come up as Pancetta Italian Restaurant.) Pancetta is in the same building as the Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe. They serve "American classics and Italian favorites," per the website. With "sourced ingredients" and an "array of regional Italian wines and local craft beer."

My choice was the Pancetta Salad. A delicious combination of mixed greens, dried cranberries, apples, candied walnuts, cherry tomatoes, and red wine vinaigrette dressing. It is gluten-free. I did not have the red wine vinaigrette. I recommend this meal.

I would have liked a bigger pour for the $17 port wine. But it tasted awesome.

I went back to Pancetta for the Sunday breakfast buffet. Being a healthy eater, there are certain foods I won't eat. In this case, I took one for the team, that means you blog friends, and ate some foods I don't normally eat.

My morning dine included a cheese danish and pancake. I made sure to get my fruit and had a veggie omelet. The pancake tasted good but was room temperature. The cheese danish was spot on, as was the tea. TAZO China Green Tips. Serving TAZO is always great.

The omelette was excellent and brought to me even though it was a buffet. I went back to my seat whilst it was being prepared and, I believe it was the manager, brought it to my table. I had a spinach and mushroom omelette.

The wait staff took a cue in etiquette from the manager and offered a tea to go when I asked for the check. The waiter, the manager and the cook were all friendly and accommodating.

Also on the menu for breakfast was sausage, bacon, oatmeal, plenty of danishes, and bread.

"Nice breakfast," I heard a guest say as he was walking out. The gentleman with him agreed, as did I.

My partner in crime, Donna, wasn't present. Had she made the trip, I would have relied on her for even more tasty morsel reviews. The Pancetta Regional Kitchen & Wine Bar is open to the public.

The Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe was renovated in 2016. It was a job well done. Specifically the rooms. I booked the 424-square-foot guest room with a king-sized bed. As you can see in the picture, there is plenty of space to work and rest watching the 55-inch flat-screen television. The comfort level of the bed, the spacious bathroom all are great.

One last mention of location. Do you and/or your partner like to shop? The Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe is but 10 minutes from The Shops at Riverside. Their tagline is Find It. Love It.

Discover luxury, delicious, beauty & fun. All true; great place with a fantastic seafood restaurant, The Oceanaire Seafood Room.

The hotel has a business center, convenience store, fitness center and Starbucks. The service is always top of the line. I highly recommend the Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe.
